Nancy Drew® Twisted Candles Library Editions:
The Twisted Candles Library Editions are so named
because they all have on the cover the third art by Rudy Nappi to volume #9, The Sign
of the Twisted Candles. The boards are pink in color and have blue lettering. One type of smaller lettering in
black appears on volume #11, The Clue of the Broken Locket shown below. I have found some with
yellow boards and have heard they came with blue as well.
The outlines of the art are in blue, white, red, and pink. The spine near the top has an image of Nancy that is a
reverse pose of her from the cover art to volume #46, The Invisible Intruder, where her hand is drawn to her
chin/mouth. Blue Multi II and White Multi II eps are used in these that I have seen. On the back cover at the bottom
right corner is a logo of letters 'flb'--standing for Follett Library Binding. (Thanks Kevin!) If anyone knows let me know. Maybe Friends of Library?
Some have inside pre-text lists of Nancy Drew® volumes up to #43, The Mystery of the 99 Steps, so these may
be circa 1966 editions--unless the publisher was using dated lists.
Click below on the sample library edition thumbnail images
below for a larger view of each volume. As always, if you have a volume not pictured
here or a library edition I do not have that is interesting please send a scan!
