Boy Scout Explorers at Emerald Valley by Don Palmer aka Mildred Wirt Benson, the original Carolyn Keene of the Nancy Drew series. There were only 3 books in this series. The dust jacket has some wear along edges/ruffling, small chips. Name/initials on front flap at top. Some marks at bottom of spine. Some aging/soil to back, but overall pretty good shape.
Book is in good shape, some edgewear, spine is slightly cocked but not too bad. Inside has inscription/name and price. Overall very good shape.

The Secret in the Old Clock by Carolyn Keene. (DJ is reproduction) FIRST PRINTING! 1930A-1, per Farah's 12th Guide. Valued at 1000.00. This is the original text written by ghostwriter Mildred Wirt Benson in 1929, published April 28, 1930. The perfect collectible book to commemorate Nancy Drew's 80th anniversary next year. BONUS: I'm including a neat reproduction dust jacket--the dust jacket is copied from an exact 1st printing dust jacket to add some flair to this dust jacketless book. Dust jacket will come in a nice Mylar protector to protect your book. As you'll note, there is no silhouette on the cover and the endpapers are blank--the style of the early Nancy Drew books from 1930 to early 1932. The book has edgewear and rubbing to the extremities/spine ends, some wearing away of the cloth. Soiling/rubbing/shelf wear to the boards. Some fraying at spine ends. Pages are beginning to tan, a few have some wear to the top edge. Inside front on front left endpaper is a neat old fancy silver/purple stationer's store sticker from Hirsch & Leman, Booksellers and Stationers in Shreveport, LA. Nostalgic. Name written in pencil on front right endpaper--Rebecca Willis and a penciled in price. All glossy internals are intact and in good shape--frontispiece plus 3 internal illustrations, all by Russell H. Tandy. Gorgeous illustrations. The Following Tall Twin is one of the twin thriller book club editions--which were a variant (rarer) of the regular twin thrillers--they were taller! These are much harder to find and worth more.
Set: #3 The Bungalow Mystery and #4 The Mystery at Lilac Inn. Spine is cocked. Edgewear and rubbing to extremities. Some ink-topped page bleed at tips of some pages. Inside ok. Some mild cover soil. Overall fine.
