Grosset & Dunlap PC Library Editions:

The Grosset & Dunlap Pc Library Editions are very similar to the regular yellow spine pc editions. They have light purple or lilac colored spines and back covers instead of the familiar yellow color. Even recently, I have noted some variations in the lilac color--to where the back cover is a lilac color but the spine appears to be more light blue than lilac--but this has not been a widespread variation that I have observed. On the back at the bottom of the cover, off-center, is a half circle symbol denoting these volumes as a library edition.

Most of these books that have turned up have an internal post-text listing or order form for the Nancy Drew® books listing to volumes 52 or 54, so I would date these particular editions to about the mid-70's.

These all appear to have the Rudy Nappi cover art and revised texts for those #34 and below and of course original texts for #35 and up. All have the White Multi II endpapers.

Later than the mid-70s, an edition of a yellow spine picture cover Thirteenth Pearl has shown up with the half circle symbol on the back cover. These are hard to find.
