I have searched high and low for the code in the Coded Steak Rolls
and found that the secret is the bacon for flavor!
What is the mystery in the Mystery Corn Pudding? I think it's probably the Worcestershire sauce!
I have tried to figure out what is so "special" about
The Cousins' Special Cauliflower, and I'm still stymied!
I really do not think olives and pears mix well in the Double Jinx Salad! Maybe that's
why this recipe salad is jinxed!
Mrs. Marvin's Magic Muffins
are not so magical--flour, mayonnaise, and milk?! These sound really magically sour!
Curry powder mixed with fresh fruit in Fire Dragon Spiced Fruit?! Blech!
A tasty alternative to Dave's Deviled Potatoes : use red potatoes, leave out the
mustard, sugar, and green onions. Add grated cheddar cheese, finely chopped chives, freshly cooked
bacon cut up into small pieces to the sour cream, salt, freshly ground black pepper, potatoes, butter, and milk. Around here we call
this alternative New Orleans Style Potatoes. Why chives over green onions?! In this recipe, chives work
better because they are less pungent and just
as flavorful!
Again, "intrigued" by the Worcestershire sauce in Casserole Treasure...
I'd substitute fresh peaches or frozen fresh peaches for the canned peaches in the
Twisted Candles Peach Crisp.
